Sauteed Peas & Radishes

With the ban on forever chemicals in U.S. fertilizer lifted until 2031, affecting the quality of broccoli especially but most aboveground vegetables generally, what vegetables can you eat safely? Peas, because a shell protects them. Peas pair well with radishes, and both are easy to grow in containers on your patio or porch.

Sauteed Peas and Radishes

Frozen sweet peas are a great value and are processed right after picking so they taste fresh.

 
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 radishes (thinly sliced)
  • 2 cups frozen peas
  • 1/4 cup water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  1. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add radishes and cook until radish skins turn light pink.

  2. Add peas and water and bring to a simmer.

  3. Cook 2-3 minutes or until peas are hot.

 
By substituting coconut ghee for butter, this recipe becomes allergen-free.
