National Academy of Medicine

The National Academy of Medicine is an organization that operates independently of the federal government. It relies on a volunteer workforce of leading scientists and experts who conduct research and provide guidance on critical health topics.  They develop Dietary Reference Intakes (DRIs), a set of science-based nutrient reference values, to help people plan a healthy diet. https://www.nationalacademies.org/projects/HMD-FNB-18-P-120

Paprika

Paprika Recipe Maker is a free recipe-management software program designed to help home cooks organize, store, and use recipes digitally. It allows users to save recipes from websites (such as Menu Plan Cook), create and edit their own recipes, organize recipes into categories, and generate grocery lists. Paprika helps home cooks keep organized across multiple devices. https://www.paprikaapp.com/

Chat GPT

You can feed an ingredient list into Chat GPT and get a meal plan back, but I don’t recommend it. A friend tried using GROK to give him several weeks of crockpot meals.  He didn’t like any of them. I believe the job of a real cook is secure because AI will never be a chef. However, if you want some ideas on what you can cook based on what’s in your pantry, Chat GPT will tell you. Then go to your Paprika files to find the best recipes (Paprika provides many). https://chatgpt.com/
